Introduction

EuroPean company


The European company (or: a European joint stock company) known under a Latin name Societas Europaea (SE) is a legal form of entrepreneurship based on the principals of the European Law. Its purport is preferably in simplifying the free circulation of capital within the entire European Union and unifying the legal forms of  commercial companies in EU. The European company is regarded as the multinational European modification of a joint stock company that is placed on the register in the state of its seat.

The basic advantage over any other common national forms of enterprise is: 

  • the possibility of moving the seat within the entire EU without the liquidation of a company
  • the consolidation of the entrepreneurial structure under the holding society of a famous name
  • the tax motives connected with the relocation of a European company to a friendly liberal jurisdiction
